ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) brakes were designed to help improve stopping distances by preventing your vehicle's wheels from locking up during braking. Under normal circumstances, the ABS brakes will activate when the ABS Module detects the vehicle is about to skid. When the ABS brakes activate, you will feel a very rapid pulse in your brake pedal. It almost feels like it's vibrating at a very high rate. This feeling is different from brake pulsation because that is usually felt not only in the pedal but usually in the steering wheel as well.

When the ABS brakes are not working properly, the ABS light will remain illuminated. When this occurs the ABS brake system is deactivated, and conventional braking is what you have left. The majority of our customers want their car to work properly, and they want to feel safe in their vehicles. If you need service on your ABS brake system, you can count on Gordie’s Garage in Roseville to provide expert auto service.
